The middle three letters in the word "photo" spell "H-O-T." And hotness is what you'll find in the Flyer's annual roundup of the Bluff City's hottest men and women. Our hard-hitting reporters took time off from chasing down politicians and poring over police reports to narrow down 100 or so reader-submitted hotties to these final 14. Yes, we have tough jobs, but somebody has to do it. Since their pictures are so hot, we went with a photo-themed spread giving you not only a look at some smokin' hot people but also a behind-the-scenes look into a photo shoot. Special thanks goes out to Phil Woodard from Woodard Properties for allowing us to set up a makeshift studio inside the Calliope Room at 456 Tennessee Street downtown. Alexandra Nicole has the look, and while we're certain that 100 percent of that look is her natural beauty, it doesn't hurt that she owns her own Memphis-based cosmetics line, Adel Amor Cosmetics. A former sales rep for International Paper, Alexandra left her office job to further develop her cosmetics line and open the Ivory Closet, her boutique in Harbor Town Square.

What's your dream job?
What I'm doing now, but I want to franchise the Ivory Closet. I also want to open a coffeeshop/bookstore and a spa.
 
Describe a typical Saturday night. 
Getting drinks with my girlfriends on the island and possibly going to one of the hotspots downtown.  
What's the best advice you've ever received? 
Dream like you'll live forever, but live like you'll die tomorrow. 
What book are you reading right now?
The Ultimate Marketing Plan by Dan Kennedy. I don't read storybooks. I always read business books. 
What's your dream vacation?
Bora Bora. I'm dying to go there.  
If you won the lottery, how would you spend your winnings first?
I'd take that dream vacation, and then I'd buy a house.
What are you most passionate about?
Life and work. 
What is your favorite Valentine's Day memory?
When I was in second grade, I liked a little boy. He put a Valentine in everyone's box except for me, and I thought maybe he didn't like me. And then after class, he handed me one that said, "Do you like me? Check 'yes' or 'no.'"
