August Feature: Style Your Bump on a Budget
Tuesday, August 05, 2014As all of you pregnant ladies out there know, fashion while pregnant can be pricey! Maternity clothes can be expensive but you can't run around naked! Since a lot of you liked our previous expecting mothers fashion post, I decided to post about another method I have discovered to getting affordable fashion while pregnant.
(Name Brand Pumps from Sugar Plum's Shoe Wall)
The main difference in a consignment store and a consignment "boutique" is the shopping experience. Much like my own boutique, I was greeted at the door and a sales associate went straight to work on helping me with my mission. To "Style My Bump on a Budget"!
(Shopping at Sugar Plum Consignments)
(Sugar Plums Shoe Selection)
(Authentic Chanel bags were just a few among many high end name brand bags)
As a 7 month, pregnant woman, I found several looks that will carry me throughout my pregnancy and even will work post-baby!
The fitted knit sweater is nice and cozy to carry me through the Fall months, but after the baby, I will wear it slightly over-sized with boots and leggings for Winter. Thank goodness your feet don't drastically change during pregnancy because these super unique Peacock Pumps will carry me through every season! Of course every traveler needs a scarf in preparation for change of weather and the Louis Vuitton luggage tote....no comment necessary.
Loving this boho dress that can be worn so many ways, as a dress,a skirt, or even a bathing suit cover this piece is a very versatile one for any wardrobe. My favorite feature on this dress is the little ties at the skirt so that you have the "ballooned bottom" option. These nude Naughty Monkey pumps are perfect paired with ANYTHING. I would wear these with skinny jeans and a blazer for evening attire. This super cute embellished clutch is a treasure that you could only find at a consignment shop. So unique and other-worldish and the jade bangle made it in my "take home" pile for sure!
I love this embellished shoulder top. It is perfect as a flowy top now and will serve as a tunic once Jack is born. Of course this vintage style Chanel bag would look fabulous with anything and the layered pearls and mixed metals spiced this top up for a night on the town.
My shopping experience at Sugar Plum Consignment opened me up to a world of options while I'm sporting my bump and even after! I found a super cute Tory Burch bag that didn't look used at all for $225 (Retail $508). I checked "new purse" off of my Vegas buys list and saved some cash while doing it!
Courtesy of Sugar Plum Consignments, we will be giving away this super cute Longchamp Purse!
