Everyone tends to go darker for the Fall but with adding depth comes loosing an essence of radiance to the complexion. How can you master the deeply colored hues without falling flat?  Check this out!

I am so envious of naturally dark hair. If I could have it my way,  I would have naturally, thick black or very dark brown hair, since I do not have the correct features to sport this style, I have refrained from dipping my locks in the super dark dyes. My friend Shaina (above), on the other hand, has beautiful dark brown hair, but it seemed to be missing a little something. After consulting with April Rankin of Pageboy Salon and Spa on the Island, we knew just what Shaina's style needed.

April explained the importance of richness in dark hues. It is easy for darker hair to fall flat and lack-luster. In order to add some edge and brighten Shaina's look, April customized her service to Shaina's need by using a mix of her signature "Painter's Ombre" and "Peek-a-Boo Highlights" techniques. This is where she strategically places color to allow optimal dimension.

If you have a darker hair color, this is a no brainier addition to your Fall look.  Are you a blonde or light brown gal? No worries, stay tuned for our Cool Blonde Transformation post coming soon!

Shaina, you look MARVELOUS!
