It is that time of year again! Fall is approaching, school is starting, football season is gearing up, and for students and young professionals alike, there are a lot of Fall social events approaching. I had a blast styling Click Magazine's Back to School Fashion Code spread in which we showcased back to school and fall football fashion. Clueless on Fall Transition Fashion? Let me fill you in!

(Loving these event dresses. Perfect for a college or high school social event)
Mint and coral summer colors can be worn within heavier knits into Fall. I love the outfit on the left (below) for an afternoon in the park on a crisp pre-Fall evening or even a stroll on a beach boardwalk. I am not necessarily a follower of the NO WHITE AFTER LABOR DAY rule. I think that if you accent white with gold jewelry or camel leather through Fall, you can get away splashing some white in your Fall wardrobe here and there.
You can even turn any summer sundress into a fall piece by adding
leggings, closed toe flats or boots and chunky accent jewelry in fall
hues such as red, green, orange, or violet. (see model above on the right)
Scarves are fabulous accents when trying to transition Summer threads over to Fall. Often, in the south at least, we have very warm days and chilly nights when the Fall season approaches. Keep a scarf in your handbag to warm up the shoulders as the temps drop on those tailgating nights.
Boho Fashion trends are definitely carrying over into Fall. Antique style jewelry (watch necklaces above) straw fedoras and hats (see above), as well as floral headbands (see above) and head wraps will be very popular accessories this season.
Laces are a great transitional piece. They are found in many Spring/Summer collections but are fabulous for layering with Fall colors. Take a plum or burgundy tank and layer it with a lace top or dress. The Fall hue will show up from underneath the piece to create a warmer color scheme.
I am so glad that summer colors aren't totally out this upcoming season. Many runway collections are accenting their Fall Collections with colorful, traditionally spring/summer hues such as the scarf our model is wearing above.
