PART 1: Developing Your Own Personal Style
Tuesday, January 26, 2016
Fashion designer Christian Siriano urges his clients to develop their own personal style by first looking back at the things, eras, styles, that you related to most as a child. As a stylist, I love to experiment with many different looks, but for this post, I wanted to center my style on my childhood interests.
As a child I was obsessed with nature and Native Americans. For years I listened to Native American music, visited reservations, collected natural stones, arrowheads, and native rabbit pelts, and daydreamed of a simpler time of tee-pees, fire pits, and rain dancing. This outfit is inspired by the purity of the natives and nature that I deeply cherished as a child.
The Ivory Closet Top | Lola Jeans | Naughty Monkey Boots | The Attic Feather Bracelet |
Vintage Earrings | Bourbon & Boweties Bangle | The Ivory Closet Hat
Stay Tuned Next week for Part 2 in the Developing Your Own Personal Style series.
I will be show casing another childhood interest that pertains to my fashion today.
