Tell us a little about yourself, the woman behind the business…
I am a wife and a mother to a two year old little boy. I love spending my spare time with my family and also feeding my soul with what I like to call "me time", consisting of facials and bubble baths, reading inspirational books, or cooking super healthy snacks while drinking my favorite Teavana teas. I am a proud christian woman who likes to explore the depth of spirituality and the meanings of life.

What do you love most about running your own business?
The freedom and the sense of accomplishment from watching your creation become a success!


What motivated you to open your own business?
After graduating college, I went to work for a fabulous Fortune 500 company where I worked hard to quickly work my way up the ladder, however I constantly had tons of business ideas continuously shooting off in my head left and right, every day. I have always had an innate passion for creating things, whether it be through arts and crafts, building and refinishing furniture pieces, home decor, or business ideas and strategy. I decided to take the leap and start my own venture. Failure was never considered. I told myself that I would work my butt of and no matter what, I would not fail. It was hard, and still is, but it is one of the most rewarding things I have experienced after the accomplishment of being a mom.

What is your favorite product or service to provide to your customers?
I wear many hats but there are two that are my favorite.
I enjoy styling my customers through new seasonal looks and makeup makeovers. I also get extremely excited when I get to help other women open their own clothing store through my franchise opportunities and business consulting services.


What experience or special skill helped to mold you into the expert you are today?
The lack of fear in failure.

What was the most challenging part of owning your own business?
I never thought that people management would be so hard as I have always considered myself more of a leader, but I have to admit, I had a lot to learn and still do about leadership and motivation of others. It is definitely a hands on learning experience but I feel like it is one that is never complete. There will always be something to learn about leading, understanding, and motivating different people and personalities.

What advice do you have for someone wanting to start a business in your industry?
Do your demographic research because location is everything! This industry is A LOT of work, but if it is truly your passion, failure will not be considered, and you will work the long hours to make your dream a success!
