My Spring Hair Makeover
Thursday, February 02, 2017
Being a stylist and makeup artist, many find it extremely hard to believe that I am not very attentive when it comes to my hair. I guess I just truly do not have a clue when it comes to cut and color. That is why I have entrusted my locks to master stylist and colorist, April Rankin for over 8 years. I literally plop down in her chair and let her have complete control and my trust has never been wavered as her work is incredible. Check out my before and after new spring do!
BEFORE
Let me just start off by saying, the state of my head in this photo is not April's fault. Admittedly, I only get into the salon every 5ish months. Basically, when my roots have grown out, my ends have frayed, and the brassiness sets in, I come running to April with arms wide open! This past week, I visited my talented friend in her beautiful salon and like always, I sat in her chair and said "work your magic."
AFTER
I am super excited to show off my new balayage, color melt, lob! A balayage and color melt is very hard to obtain from just any salon. You have to make sure that your stylist is properly trained on the technique, and the lob...well, that is just a "long bob" but to get the perfect shape and adequate framing the talent has to be present.
While it is the best part of Eva Salon, the talent isn't the only great attribute, the service is amazing! The ladies make you feel instantly at home. Their smocks are practical for moving around in them, the chairs are comfortable, and the ladies are very attentive to your needs. I was in between meetings when I ran into the salon for my appointment super parched. Amberly handed me an ice cold water bottle and I quickly scarffed it down before realizing that is was cutely branded with their logo and company info!
Their products and tools for purchase are always amazing! The tangle brush, as I call it, is great for ladies with thin hair that knots up easily, like mine and I have completely fallen in love with their Italian product line, Davines. Not only do the products smell scrumptious and work like a charm, but they are very focused on sustainability and humanitarianism.
The beauty that we believe in is based on appreciation for individuality and celebration of diversity. So we praise the grace, elegance and distinct characteristics that make each of us who we are. This is why we consider ourselves as a tool for our customers to express their own uniqueness."
