This month the ladies of Bluff City Lights got the pleasure of experiencing a FABULOUS Memphis stay-cation with the historic Peabody Hotel. We had so much fun that we had to make this one a two part series! Part, our lovely, relaxing gals night evening.

We arrived at the Peabody in the early afternoon to enjoy an "afternoon tea" in the beautiful Chez Phillipe restaurant. I have heard about the Peabody's afternoon tea before but I never knew how elegant and formal it actually is. It is the epitome of a classic, southern ladies social.

We had light hors d'oeuvers and desserts while catching up on the week's hot topics and each others busy lives. The server brought around the tea box so that we could choose which tea we would be having and even offered champagne to make it a true girls gathering.

After tea, we went up to check out our room and roam around the hotel. There is quite a bit to do while staying at The Peabody. They have a beautiful spa and some great shops! Lansky's has very stylish fashions and the accessory shop is a great place to pick up jewelry to match your evening wear. They also have a Lansky's men's store and the Lucky Duck gift shop. The rooftop has some pretty amazing views as well. We enjoyed the breeze while overlooking our magnificent city and we even got to watch the world famous Peabody Ducks make their way back to their rooftop house.

After enjoying our afternoon, we went back to our beautiful suite to get ready for our dinner reservations.

Talk about some delicious dining! I had a very tasty chicken Parmesan dish and just couldn't help myself when I was handed the dessert menu. I opted for the creme brulee. I will definitely be back for more! Capriccio Grill would make the perfect date night. I will be introducing my husband soon.

Naturally, after dinner we headed on over to the lobby bar for a night cap, mine was a mocktail cap. haha The atmosphere was pure elegance. We unwound by the fountain while enjoying the classical tunes of the grand piano player.

We were having so much fun that we completely lost track of time and didn't even head back to our room until almost 1 am. Now that is what I consider some great conversations in a satisfying environment. The fun didn't stop here. We all claimed to be super tired but once we got back to the Danny Thomas Celebrity Suite, we caught a second wind. Stay tuned to check out our girls sleepover and giveaway post next week!

Don't forget to check out the rest of the girls experiences on over at their blogs!
