How to Make it a Special with Custom Cards
Saturday, February 17, 2018
Due to the rapid change in times, taking the simplest things back to the basics actually makes them more special, custom thank you cards and invitations being some of the best for sneaking in a secret personal touch and standing out above the rest. Here are some of my favorite creative things to do when creating a custom card or invite.
While all reviews are my own, Basic Invite has sponsored this post.
Business Thank You Note Cards
Taking the time to thank a collaborating company with a quick and thoughtful thank you note and or invitation really sets your business apart. As a blogger, I work with all types of companies on collaborations. I use Basic Invite for my personalized note card set. They print my signature on the bottom of the note cards and I choose a color scheme that matches my brand. It is hard to see in the picture, but I love that the envelope is tastefully sparkly. It also came with a peel and stick closure strip with is great when you don't like using your tongue as an alternative. In fact, Basic Invite offers almost unlimited colors on their envelopes and printing options. After much research I found that they are one of the few websites that allow almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Once you select a design you can change the color of each element on the card so that you can make sure the card is exactly how you want it down to the littlest detail. Including a business card is also a good idea as the receiver will probably want to keep it aside once they see the personal touch.
Name Reveal and Shower Announcement
A fun little surprise for your shower and baby birthday invitation card is to use the inside of the envelope as a name reveal! Basic invite allows you to customize EVERY aspect of your stationary and invitations. As you can see in the photo above, once the shower invite is opened, the name is revealed on the inside of the envelope as well as the due date. Back to those options, you have over 40 envelope colors to choose from and an even larger selection of inside linings.
Themed Birthday Invites
I have to admit when trying to come up with fun birthday themes for the boys, I start with the invites. If you scroll through all of the pre-made invite choices for birthday invitations with photo, you find tons of new and exciting birthday party ideas. For example, I requested a sample of the invite above for Jack's party this year. Camp Jack's Birthday Adventure! What a different type of party idea? We could get tents, tell camp stories, make smores, and well...go sleep inside when it is time for bed since it will be in October, but the idea is so original and the invite to match is super cute. Theworst part of getting invite together every year for me is the address part. I was pleased to find that Basic Invite has address capturing service that allows customers to simply share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other form of social media to request their friends and family’s addresses which then will be stored in the customer’s account and can be selected during the design process. Basic Invite also offers recipient address printing at no cost on all Christmas card orders, which their beautiful foil printed cards will be a must for our family this year.
